Baby shower craft ideas: These little shoes have square toes and may be worn over the regular shoes for warmth. They are crocheted in one piece and as they will be laundered frequently it is practical to work them in white.

Materials: Corticelli Angola Yarn, 1 ball white. One no.5 bone crochet hook.

Instructions for this baby shower craft ideas pattern: Ch. 54 sts., turn, s.c. across chain. Work back and forth in Slipper st. (taking up back of st.) for 17 rows, always ch. 1 to turn, break wool.

18th row: Join wool to 12th st. from end of row and work 5 rows of 29 sts., leaving 12 sts, at opposite end of row. 23d row: On the next 11 rows leave off 1 st. at each end of every other row; there should be 17 sts. in the last row. Join up toe and instep on the outside, making toe flat, doubling it by bringing instep joining at center stitch, using s.c., join up back seam also with s.c.

Finish top of leg with a shell of 3 d.c. fastened down with a s.c. every other st. Make a small cord and run it through the outside stitch of rib around ankle and finish with tassels.
