Crochet hats Materials required: 2 spools crochet silk, 1 crochet hook no. 8.

Make a chain of 100 stitches.

First row: catch back in 10th ch. from needle. ch. 8 catch back in 5th ch, ch, 8. catch back in 5th ch. ch, 2 and catch with sl. st. in 5th st. of foundation ch., forming one set picots. Make these picots all along the foundation ch forming 18 sets of picots.

Second row: ch. 8, catch back in 5th ch, ch. 8 catch in 5th ch. ch. 2, and catch with sl. st. between the 2 picots of the first set of picots.

Make 48 rows in this way.

Crochet hats pattern - Small rose.

ch. 6 and join to form a ring.

First round: * ch. 4, catch in ring with 1 d.c. Repeat from * until you have 6 loops in the ring.

Second round: Make 1 s.c., 5 d.c, 1 s.c., in each of the loops, making 6 petals.

Third round: * ch. 5, catch in the back of the last spoke of the first petal. Repeat from * unti you have 6 loops.

Fourth round: Make 1 s.c., 7 d.c., 1 s.c.in each of these loops. Make 22 roses in this way, sewing them together and onto the long sides of the strip of picots.

Ch. 6 and join to form a ring.

First round: * ch. 5 and catch in ring with sl. st. Repeat 5 times from * making 6 loops in ring.

Second round: * 1 s.c., 5 d.c., 1 s.c. in first space. Repeat from * 5 times.

Third round: * ch. 6 and catch back of last spoke of first petal of preceding round with sl. st. Repeat from * 5 times.

Fourth round: * 1 s.c, 7 d.c., 1 s.c. Repeat from * 5 times.

Fifth round: ch. 7, and catch back of last spoke of first petal of preceding round with sl.st. Repeat from * 5 times.

Crochet hats pattern Pendants

Ch. 4, join in a ring, make 8 s.c. in ring but do not join as a pendant is worked round and round, both threads of stitch being taken up. In the next round put 2 s.c. in each stitch of preceding round. Make 7 more rounds of 16 s.c.'s each. Then 2 rounds, skipping every 3d stitch. Fill with cotton and make a final round, skipping every other stitch. Draw up with s.c. ch. 16, catch in 4th stitch from needle forming a ring. Make 7 s.c. in ring, but do not join.

Put 2 s.c. in each stitch of preceding round. Make 5 more rounds of 14 s.c.'s each and finish like first pendant. Ch.10 and fasten off. Make 10 double pendants in this manner, crocheting the chains of different lengths.

Line the strip composed of picots with chiffon and shirr each of the short ends. Make a double frill chiffon and sew it to the outer edge of the cap. Next place one of the large roses over the shirring at each end of the cap. Attach 5 of the double pendants to the center of each large rose.
