Embroidery Cashmere Stitch

A kind of Half-cross stitch supposed to represent the texture of cashmere material. To work, proceed diagonally, and take first one stitch across one thread, and then two stitches across two threads of the canvas. Larger stitches may be used if desired, but the same proportion must be preserved throughout.
