Embroidery Felling

embroidery stitches

-

This is the stitch used where the edges of two pieces of material are to be joined together. The edges are first turned down, and the two pieces seamed together. The work is then turned and a hem formed at the other side, which may either be secured by hemstitch or by a running stitch.
