Embroidery Piping Stitch

A row of piping gives a raised effect to a border for embroided cushions, etc. A piping-cord, or three or four strands of knitting cotton are placed in position, the material folded over them, and the whole secured in position either by simple running or by the utilisation of some kind of suitable embroidery stitch, such as Chain, Stem, Cording stitch, etc.
