Mens Patterns

Mens patterns are not as popular as other pattern types and it's a shame that at this point I don't have much to give you besides boring scarfs and socks. But I promise to find more for you so our poor men don't feel like we are neglecting them!

Socks were a desperate need when our history was involved in both the world wars. Women would knit socks and other items to keep their men, who had left for the war, warm. The red cross would organize campaigns of donations were all women that could offer their knitting services would participate in order to do their bit for the war effort.

These days socks are such common items and bought from anywhere that many knitters prefer to spend their time making something more unique. But if you are to create such items now, remember the folks of years ago that knitted socks to keep their men warm - and were proud to do so.
